Fees

Camp Membership Fee

Fairyland has a camp fee to be paid prior to our departure for Black Rock City. The fee is currently estimated to be between $150 and $200, and covers the costs of the camp such as:

  • rental of a truck to get the camp items to the playa
  • structure material rental and/or purchase for camp items
  • purchase of items for craft, teaching, sharing and social activities

Food and Water Program

Additionally, Fairyland has a communal food and water system, which is not included in the camp fee. The food and water plan is an inexpensive way to share in food and water during the festivities at Black Rock City. Information on food and water plan will be provided about 4 weeks prior to Burning Man. Deadline for signing up for the food and water program is usually no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the event. The estimated costs based on previous years works out to approximately $15.00 per person, per day, or less.

Water Plan
Everyone camping in Fairyland is required to participate in the Water plan, because this covers your drinking water as well as shower water. Beverages include water, Gatorade, milk, a varity of juices, coffee and tea. Beverages not included in the plan include energy drinks (like Red Bull), nurtition shakes (like Ensure), soda and alcohol. Each fairy is provided a water bottle to use for beverages and to cut down on the amount of waste.

The final cost for the water plan won’t be determined until all of the shopping is completed. For this reason, you’ll receive an e-mail after Burning Man which tells you how much you owe based on the number of days you are at the event. The estimated costs based on previous years works out to less than $5.50 per day.

Food Plan
We promise you won’t go hungry, in fact we often seem to eat better on the playa than at home! The first meal provided will be lunch on Sunday and the last meal will be breakfast on Monday (post burn). If you plan on arriving on Saturday, make sure you bring some food and water to keep you happy until the truck and kitchen arrive on Sunday.
